It would be a lot more fun.  Then we wouldn't be so jaded constantly expecting the worst outcome.

This.

Basically nothing has trended in a good direction thr last 5 - 10 years. Prior to 2016 we would have some storms that do trend in a good direction inside of 5 days. But that hasn't happened basically at all the last 5 years .

JI is right when he says take the model with the least amount of snow.

I'm speaking more for my yard and your yard. Places further east has had some better trends with a few storms.

It's kind of crazy how pitiful the snowfall has been going back 5 to 10 years.

Negative PNA AND NEUTRAL NAO means wiff for the a big nor’easter. We were already threading the needle with this setup, we don’t do well with that and I’m pretty sure I can count on one hand the last 20 years when we have. The current pattern doesn’t support the last 2 days of nonsense the day to day runs have been showing. But most in here are gullible and refuse to except it’s not happening.

That's bittercasting ...  Especially for a storm still 5 to 6 days out!!  Storm is still too far out  to say ",it's not happening"

Tuesday/Wednesday always seems to be the line of demarcation for weekend threats, doesn't it?

He has repeatedly said 84-96 hours out, so it matters when the threat is over a given weekend.

ETA- So yeah, we usually start getting a good picture by Wednesday.
