This was the post that did it for me. He has an unshielded max/min thermometer just sitting out in the middle of the tree farm. I mean of course it’s going to lose more heat at night.

Looks like he has some frost on the eye brows.

If you look closely in the background, you can see a certain CT wolf

ORH was 31. The magic of Southington continues. Are you friends with the guy in Bakersfield?

I dont know what to tell you bro?  My truck at noon read 28. When I left work it read 31 and settled back to 30.  And by the time I got to the gym it was reading 29. I phone app said 30 at 3:15 for the high as well.

The 1 pm readings that Dendy posted had 29 in Waterbury…I’m next town over to that just to the ENE. Maybe somewhere in town it was officially 32 or 33…I don’t know. Wasn’t trying to make it sound colder…Homie don’t play that.  You were about 32 and in direct sun as you stated, so if you take the sun off your temp, you’d be about where I was I believe.

33 here was tanning the nape with ice on my knee. Really felt great but not looking forward to Wednesday night and Saturday. Spring can come but like I said because I am on the DL buckle up.  Lol if anyone thinks we go right to Spring because of a couple days above freezing . We are at risk for a March of yore too. Too much snow in Eastern Canada with a negative WPO in the cards then of course the SSW wildcard.

29.5° today felt like 60 honestly, I don't think I've been above freezing here in a couple weeks, that mid Jan thaw was the last time I think...the cold I can handle it is the wind that kills me and drafty house ftl.

Probably Wednesday the 21st right was the last time…was up near 40 that day if I remember right?

As the crow flies, I live less than 2 miles away on top of a hill and it always amazes me what the differences are between here and there.

We need you to drive by the christmas trees on a strong rad morning with the car thermo for science.

I’m sure that pit is cooler than his coop site, but he’s probably overplaying it by a good 5F.

Spanks’ pit gets real cold too…huge difference between him and surrounding spots…cold settles in his area too.

per my station it says the 15th was 35, and before that I think the 11th, of course I'm looking on a phone so I need to go back day by day for Jan still, haven't had time. but it's been a grip since it's been over 32, that's all I know and my wife can't stand the winter so it's all I hear...

No shielding = we toss. But like I said I’m sure it’s a little cooler than his site. It’s just not 8-10° like he regularly claims.

Both skynet models have been more bullish for keeping snow chances (even with moderated temps) than the regular model suites in the second week of February. We’ll see as we get closer if that’s more correct.

They have been performing pretty well imho overall. They never got very bullish on the 1/31-2/1 threat (correctly so), stayed more bullish than OPs on both the 1/18-19 and 1/25 threats (also correctly).

Still in clown range for now.
