0z RGEM at 66 looks better over the Midwest but heights are pretty flat in the northeast. Compared it to the GFS at the same time at 18z and there’s a pretty noticeable difference. Let the rest of the run play out and see if it improves.

NWS always plays it conservative here because most of the time it is true ..."snow likely" is as bullish as you can get this far out 

GSP added a snow may be heavy at times for the forecast here

You’re half right, it will take a couple runs for the DS data to be fully digested and the the models to adjust but Oz will be a start
