At least for BDL that’s higher end but not all-time. Guessing we backslide a bit with the coming warm up.

That’s pretty damn good. I subtracted out 1904-05 that was missing December. It’s tough to compete with yore and that 60s-80s period.

No top 10 coldest anywhere though vs everyone out west seeing a top 5-10 warmest. 

It's been cold but nothing historic however it likely feels colder because its been a blowtorch for nearly a decade.

Woke up to -17 at the cabin. ADK Park 1800’ ASL. Was hoping for -20. Cold has been more impressive with its longevity than extreme temps. Case in point, snowboarded on some skidder trails on my land on snow that was 2 weeks old and felt like it just fell. That’s like Montana dry powder.

It still surprises me to see open water on the rivers. I guess it’s mainly were the current is faster but you’re not far off.

Back when BTV radiated... they used to put up some impressive lows.

-18F at BOS is the most impressive though of those.

The vibe was brutal cold this evening.  Wind blowing over the ridge, accelerating down the slope and through the east side, in this deep cold.

I remember growing up that it was always warmer there until the lake froze and then it would be absolutely brutal with the wind coming off the lake.

Below zero at WXW1 again. Incredible to see so many mornings here below zero. Meanwhile, -19.9° at WXW2. On track for the coldest morning of the entire season.

No crazy stretches of daytime low temperatures but I’ve had 17 mornings at or below zero now. Year of the radiators.
