Stevo6899
2 feet for boston incoming. That's gotta be like 10 of those for them since 2000, 20+. Congrats to the chicago lake crew and indiana/ohio crew. Looks like detroit will be lucky to get 5.
Chicago WX
Just realized its been snowing for a little over 24 hours now. Shame 75% of it was sand, but winter vibes are nonetheless high. One of the LES bands making into Kankakee county now.

homedis
Averaging around 8.75” snow depth. Probably reached 10” storm total if I measured and wiped clean every few hrs since this was such a long event.

HillsdaleMIWeather
Gonna end up between 4 and 6 inches here, will definitely take it. It's annoying to see the east coast win again but I'm glad our southern and central ohio peeps finally cashed in a big dog.
mimillman
Starting to wind down as the LE rotates into southern Cook. I wasn’t here for the thanksgiving weekend storm so this is definitely a treat. Plus seeing the split band LE this side of the lake was a big highlight
A-L-E-K
Hanging onto nice flakes but this is about it, happy and surprised to bust low. Polished a turd and lessens the sting of Boston getting another mega dog

I lol when I hear something like "the east coast wins again". They've actually been in a historic multi year snow drought in many places so whether you believe it or not, they are long overdue for a storm like this. This powder is not high ratio so the depth will not settle much. Deep winter.

RCNYILWX
the game likely would have been moved, unfortunately. My thinking was set it to prime time tomorrow, with the extra week of rest for the winner. They may have also opted to move it elsewhere today. Sent from my SM-S936U using Tapatalk
andyhb
What is happening in Toronto/vicinity right now is incredible. 3-4”/hr rates for hours as a heavy LES band is parked across the metro due to easterly flow from the main synoptic storm. Could break the all time record there in fairly short order. 7

Snowstorms
This will end up as an historic storm for parts of Toronto. Parts of east Toronto where the lake effect snow band has been stationed since the morning could finish with amounts close to 25-30". YYZ currently at 12-13".

YYZ needs a major reform but seems highly unlikely. But for once, YYZ is somewhat keeping up. 7 hours of straight +SN and at 36cm (14.1") so far. January 2026 will finish as YYZ's snowiest January on record.

Im willing to suffer 4 shutout winters in a row if it means I get a big dog every other yr other times. It does look like a winter wonderland back home so it beats tundra and no snow cover I suppose. Im 40 years old so hopefully I can witness a big dog in my backyard and a lions sb b4 I croak.
