Gonna end up between 4 and 6 inches here, will definitely take it. It's annoying to see the east coast win again but I'm glad our southern and central ohio peeps finally cashed in a big dog.

Its fantastic outside. I lol when I hear something like "the east coast wins again". They've actually been in a historic multi year snow drought in many places so whether you believe it or not, they are long overdue for a storm like this.

This powder is not high ratio so the depth will not settle much. Deep winter.

What is happening in Toronto/vicinity right now is incredible. 3-4”/hr rates for hours as a heavy LES band is parked across the metro due to easterly flow from the main synoptic storm. Could break the all time record there in fairly short order.

This will end up as an historic storm for parts of Toronto.

Parts of east Toronto where the lake effect snow band has been stationed since the morning could finish with amounts close to 25-30".

YYZ currently at 12-13".

Im glad they’re also measuring at Queens Park because YYZ’s iffy measurements are notorious.

Agreed. YYZ needs a major reform but seems highly unlikely.

But for once, YYZ is somewhat keeping up. 7 hours of straight +SN and at 36cm (14.1") so far.

January 2026 will finish as YYZ's snowiest January on record.
