PDII in 2003 was another doozy of no sleep for days watching models and the board. After many many years, and it takes time, I don't get all worked up and stay awake for the 1am euro... Lol those days are long gone. I wake up and can tell what happened by many more pages of posts there are in the morning. Not many posts equal a dud, lots of pages and we got a banger! 

Yeah once 33andrain formed in 2017 most of the biggest posters left and went there

All models now basically showing lite versions of 12/2003 and 1/2011.  We need to hope round 1 does as well as it did in both those storms.  Hint...it won't

PDII was when I really got into the forums, though I lurked alot back then - I was really young. The boards split pretty well after AccuWx shut unfortunately and there is alot of scattering with one of the heavy hitter boards being fully Discord based now. 

Boxing Day was insane for the boards and the EC. That was quite a time. Earthlight really called that one, even when NOAA refused to. I may or may not have been overly excited for those PBPs. Been a while since we had a real storm like that. Plus, with the boards scattered, its not quite as easy to obtain the information you used to be able to all at once.

RFS model coming in much drier and with a larger lull. 

Seems like models are in agreement with a round of light snow/rain in the morning, then a lull in afternoon, and then around 5 pm to late evening is most of the snow. Would’ve been nice to see it snow all day though. Daytime snow is better than nighttime snow

Can't make this up. Trended from just the extreme coast seeing the only snow tomorrow to it raining at the coast here instead.

2015 and 2016 we had some doozys. If I recall, 2015 I was forecast 18-24 and it went east a dumped on Suffolk and the NAM had that pinned by itself. 2016 we got it in NJ. I got 26-27 inches. It's been a dud after that for the most part...

I remember it well, that was great times.
 

Do you remember the screen name of the guy that tried to take that board over towards the end? He was okay for awhile then got all caught up in himself and with no monitors to control him got out of control and people just started bailing.

Went from that to wxdisco until it become exclusively a paid service. Really enjoyed the accuweather forums for a long time, but that came to an end unfortunately.

Really nice snows down to FL panhandle on models. The disconnect between the northern stream and the dead southern stream have made these unusual occurrences more plausible despite overall warming.

Yeah I liked him too a good guy. R Jay and I used to chat with him about some of the ridiculous measurements at Central Park when the zookeeper was taking them. He said at the time he thought the average in central Park should be about 5 inches higher than what was recorded because of so many egregious under measurements.
