I mentioned in a different thread last week that my wife and I are on baby watch. We're still on baby watch, and now I have a bunch of logistical questions about snow I hadn't previously considered. 

For example, what if everything goes great for us and for snow lovers, the hospital discharges us, but our streets aren't plowed?

My son’s due date was 2/8/2010. Ended up being born on 2/14/2010. The told us to get to the main road and they’d send a humvee. That would have been a ~120 yard walk through hip deep snow with my wife in labor if he had come during either storm.

Add snowshoes to our hospital bag... Got it! 

A few days after the snow stopped in the January 96 storm, they did send a humvee down our street to pick up my neighbor. She was a nurse at the local hospital and I guess it was way past time for shift change.

Not for nothing, but if the gfs were showing a snow bomb for us and every other model had it Philly north instead we would all know the gfs was full of it.

Alright, I have now found something to doom on. We can't afford a meet in the middle or even give much ground at all to how the GFS handles the SW if we want an ICON/CMC storm. I think we will know the flavor of the storm by tonight 0z or tomorrow 12z at the latest for what happens out west.

Hugging the UK CMC Icon combo is likely to lead to disappointment especially when the CMC made a huge jump south. The AI models have been headed south the last 6 runs including the Gfs and Euro. The cold air and high is too strong. Unless that disappears magically its no Bueno.
