I think with road crews getting a Headstart putting road treatment down and traffic on the roads We’re not gonna see much in the way of a accumulation at least south of the pike on the roads.

I am currently in the Providence area and there might be more road salt than asphalt down

Yes all roads covered, at least two accidents in town, just drove my wife to work, elevation didn't play much a role until under 100' elevation... All schools around here closed except Beacon Falls and Bethany had school with reports of bus drivers pissed off with the conditions of the roads around 7-8am.. Snow having no problem sticking with the rates and temps 32-33.

roads are even covered here in North Haven. No salt or prep before hand so it stuck to everything. His roads are covered as well

Not sure why they would not pretreat... It was recommended for all towns.  Up here in Burlington and on all DPW cams across Litchfield county show wet roads?  School districts assume roads will be treated, which would make this a non event for most...

All roads were treated here but still snowed hard enough for issues, lowest sun angle of the year helps.  Interior SWCT was an easy call for no school.  Once the rates pick up it sticks instantly .. looks like a lull til 11 or so then it picks back up .. right when Beacon Falls and Bethany let out..

Most of the heavier returns were in New Haven, Fairfield counties this morning so i'm not surprised roads were just wet up there. Do you have any accumulation at all in Burlington?

Home Alone 3 is very underrated, and it’s especially a fun movie for winter weather weenies.

It’s not a classic like the first two, but the criminals are a lot smarter and dangerously shrewd.

It was worse during the heavier snow between 7-8am. Still snow covered roads during school drop off isn't that the standard nowadays? We cancel for everything "out of abundance of caution" cancels

Most CT districts will now call school for a slushy inch.  School bus drivers are not as adept at handling the busses these days compared to 15 years ago, and everyone is looking for a legal payout.

Yep... It's usually all about rates... Good rates will always win.  Based on the picture, rates must have been great.

I think kids today get twice as many snow days with half the seasonal inches.  I don't care one way or the other, just an observation.

Guidance starting to show snow showers more consistently Christmas morning for the region..  I've never experienced snow falling at 7am Christmas morning, 2018 came just short as it ended before sunrise and quickly melted while EMASS got the best Christmas gift ever from mother nature..

100% agreed. 

It's extremely underrated. I remember when it first came out I didn't recall wanting to see it because it had none of the original cast but I remember watching it when I was sick...it was hysterical.

If roads are going to be messy, there really is no need in making people go out and travel, especially now with remote learning an option and remote work (obviously there are exceptions) but its disheartening when you hear and read of accidents because of weather and people are killed. No need to have busses out in these road conditions

Bus drivers want nothing to do with slushy roads... This not just a CT issue; becoming more common across MA, RI, eastern NY.  The insurance costs in play would blow your mind.  Just the way things are these days...  We've talked about this before, but the combo of several factors, including parents, student drivers, wary bus drivers, and legal / insurance issues have driven the trend.

Looks pretty bad to me..especially in windy hill towns. Snow covered roads are snow covered roads whether its 0.5, 1 or 3". Heard reports of lots of accidents this morning in this general area. Just my opinion
