You mean nothing stuck on treated asphalt and concrete traversed by thousands of people, with hot steam, hot water, and subways flowing underneath that? Color me shocked. Good thing they dont measure there. Lol

It didn't stick to the streets here in suburban Union county NJ, either, right away.  It was too warm out at the beginning...

5.0" as of 8:00 am, which was my forecast for our house, so we're going to overperform by maybe 1", looking at the radar and the latest HRRR; temp down to 31F. Just went for a drive, for fun, on 27/1/287 in our area and these major roads were all a bit slushy and slippery, but not terrible (could go 40-50 mph on 287); local sidestreets that haven't been plowed are fun to drive on, lol.

Still some time, looks like one last heavy band over the city but yeah-sucks. The city needs the cold northerly winds ahead of time.

That last band really means business so hopefully they can crack 2.

I have some elevation here in SI (330' or so) and tend to do well in marginal events. Over 4 inches now here and snowing moderately.

1.1 inches only in Central Park

LOL

Wow lol another storm where literally everywhere else north south east or west did better than NYC. I saw last night they were 37 when even Jersey shore was 34. Heat Island Effect strikes again!

Snow coming down heavier now and sticking more. Temps falling in brooklyn.

The band moving through now should accumulate far better, hopefully it takes its time moving through and maybe even backbuilds a little.

I know the HIE was always there but Central Park seems to no longer be a good representation of the surrounding area.

Forecast looks to have been pretty good for all of the counties south of 78 (3-5/4-6"), but the storm has way overperformed for places like Sussex/Warren/Morris, Lehigh Valley, Hudson Valley, Poconos, etc., where many have seen 4-7" when 1-3" maybe 2-4" was predicted. NYC is underperforming a bit, at least at the official stations, lol.

The mesos seemed to pick up on that area doing pretty well

We got the trough to buckle a little more which brought the moisture north. Glad the majority of us are having a good event.
