@dryslot @WinterWolfDo you guys remember any of these from the old days? I went to a vintage show today. 170 entries. My back hurts just looking at them!

I remember quite a few of them, I had 2 1970 Olympics back in the early 70's and back in the 60's my buddies parents had bought a new 1968 olympic, They use to have snowmobile races back in the 70's at the Lewiston Fairgrounds on the 1/2 mile track so a lot of those cats, doos, poos motoski, Sno Jet, Skiroule, Alouhettes and Mercs were all prevalent, That was the boom of the snowmobile era where all manufacturers were trying to get into the snowmobile business.

Yup very cool to see. My uncle had a 70 or 71 skidoo he let me take out when I was a kid.  Engine basically in your lap and exhaust hitting your chest, no suspension to speak of - good times!

Sure do! My first sled was a 1976 MotoSki Nuvik. It had .975 inches of rear suspension travel... well close, but it sure felt like it. I still feel it

These clear and present examples of imperialism by the United States have got to stop or there'll be hell to pay.

There could be a WWIII alright, and it wouldn't be triggered by Russia/Ukrainian identity politics/sovereignty shit.

It will be the rest of the planet waking up and realizing what's going on.

I almost get the feeling - or 'hope' it's just - that the we are a civility that gee, kind of knows that ?   Hell, maybe even morally opposed, too.  But is perhaps too nonplussed by the specter of it to know what to do.  Not helping the fact that we are months and months away from any access/form of suffrage expression in the matter sufficient to have any hope of leveraging/enforcing a stop to these brazen acts by this ...fucking pantheon of demons that have come to be in charge.

It's really seemingly like that.   Or, if our civility really condones these acts of imperial annexing, cloaked in simple witted deceptions that are hardly hiding the real reason they are taking place ... then you deserve to your fate.

Off topic, but interested in buying a property in Thornton, NH. Anyone have any input on that area as far as how they feel about it and it’s proximity to the Whites and also snowfall and weather in general?

@MarkO has a place up that way I think.

Hey @HoarfrostHubb, I think you have an electric snowblower. You mind telling me how you like it and how big it is? Do you do a large area with it?

My folks driveway is about 100' x 30' so I'm wondering if it'll have enough power to do that.

I bought an EGo last winter. So far I mostly like it.  The model I have doesn’t allow for powered steering. We haven’t had any big snowstorms to really test it.   I can get most of my driveway (sometimes all of it) on one charge (it has 2 batteries). It throws the snow really well. Chews through the plow piles well. Zero maintenance.   You might want to get a second set of batteries ($$$).  I have several of their tools so they are interchangeable.
It is 24” wide.

We have a family camp in Ellsworth.  You definitely want to not be in the River valleys, you want to be above 1000'. We can be riding the snow machine trails all around Stinson Lake with 18" base, and they'll be like 3" down in the Baker and Pemi River valleys with closed trails.

It is much lighter than my old Craftsman which is good and bad.

Cool, thanks. So overall seems your happy with it.  Yeah seems you may sacrifice some power, but my father always has trouble with gas stuff, so the ease of use is important for sure.

How big, roughly, of an area do you do?

My driveway is around 100’ long. It flares to 30 feet wide near the house and is maybe 10 feet wide at the narrowest before flaring again.  I also do part of my front yard and the walkway so we can get my MIL in the house easier from time to time.
