You had the last gasp of the extreme warmth that had been over the Ohio valley up to the early stages of the winter storm that developed over PA. I think Latrobe PA also maxed at around 57 F during the day. As you know it was well above 60 F in KY and parts of s IN-IL for a couple of days leading up to the Boxing Day storm in the northeast. That warmth is going to make one last run eastward on Monday before being suppressed further south. I would expect some parts of the MA to max out in low 60s by Monday afternoon-evening before falling into the high 20s and low 30s on Tuesday.

On one hand I'm glad I won't be here but on the other hand I would like to see some snow whipped around at 65mph.

I’m excited to have a few days of real winter after mid 40s and fog all week.

I spent the afternoon tuning up my generator to assure it will stay on at DCL.

Gusts 55+ for several hours - best to be prepared for power outages with that. Shows another 6-8”+ this week after tomorrow’s event too.

The last two were sunny and rainy. Further north, looks like a long duration lake effect event east of Ontario. Think I'm heading up there Tuesday after work, trying to split the uprights between bands. GFS paints around 80" totals for the week. Likely overdone but this is a potent front with decent anafrontal moisture so if a band can stay stationary for a period of time, crazier things have happened. It'll be my first chase of the season and I'm just itching to get up there.
