This event is not really like last week other than maybe roughly the same line where you get some accumulation....it's weak with a lot less QPF. It'll be good for high elevations in NNE. PRob mostly a 0.15-0.30" QPF type deal outside of the upslope elevated spots which might see 0.5-0.75"

It’s still freaking annoying and frustrating . That was my point. Not that it was same setup

High here was 26.6° after midnight…afternoon high 16.7°.

It’s already down to 14.8°…chilly late afternoon.

I had 2 Thundersnow hits including 1 Lightning Bolt in the woods Right behind me.  12” Total.  3” per hour for 2.5 hours.

Hard disagree. They are two separate distinct shortwaves.

Id be more concerned they are spaced so closely that they gum it up, and they both suck, which I’d actually place as probably the second biggest concern, to the sharpening trough.

I love the Winter Storm Watches that get hoisted in the midwestern states for 1-2" of snow with winds gusting 50-70 mph. That has to be epic

There's a reason basically no one lives there. And also why we have things like, you know, heat.

People do live in Fairbanks which can wind up with entire weeks below -40 day and night. But it's not windy, so I guess it doesn't count.

Temp dipping pretty steadily.   14.4*

River slushiness has started to congeal into chunks which will soon be ice flows.  Seeing it reminds me of the scene in T2 when the little pools of stuff from the melted cop begin coming together.

May need to watch for a C-1" type deal tomorrow night as that first weakening shortwave moves through ahead of the main clipper shortwave. Could also just be a few flurries...depends if we can saturate the column enough.
