It’s mid-winter outside, snow depth is limited at home but 3” of settled powder covering the grass helps with the aesthetics. Higher elevations see snow depth escalate rapidly.

Started as ZR in NH (was was XC skiing in Jackson and it had been around 0 overnight, ZR started around 15, I came down a hill coated in ice; can't imagine it was much of a day at the downhill areas either), valley didn't scour out until mid-afternoon (I went skiing in the zr because it seemed preferable to driving in it) and eventually left once the temperature had gone above 32. The carnage on Route 16 was impressive, I saw the first spinout within the first mile, asked the trooper there if the roads were safe and he said "well, they're safe now." That was the last time it was above freezing up there for two months.

Kitz Craver
Sure more cold around, but not much to show for it on last nights model runs. Either OTS underneath or keeps SNE right on the R/S edge. Not the greatest

Damage In Tolland
Hopefully something can break in SNE direction for once. Man have we had bad luck for weather the last 5 years . You figure at some point something good will happen. Certainly a depressing morning for me

CoastalWx
It’s still a decent look for one or two things to break right. But I do think we have a mid month torch before we reset. It’s nothing abnormal. It’s a typical process.

It looks like any warm up might be transient with that ridge going up over Alaska but we’ll see. GEFS perhaps heading in that direction in the extended too. FlashFreeze
It could be worse. I left South Carolina yesterday morning hoping to see 5 to 6 inches in East Hartland today. By the time I got here at 2:30 this morning it looks like maybe about an inch and a half slush, but hey, at least I got to see some frozen slush mounds at the rest area in Pennsylvania! TauntonBlizzard2013
I truthfully don’t really see anything interesting for SNE through mid month. Sure something small could pop, but it looks like we wait until late month
