First fall feel that really hit me this evening out walking the dog.

55F, hoodie on, breezy, back lit clouds tied to the terrain/peaks, early sunset… there’s just like a vibe.

Today is the first day I noticed it.  Plenty of heat left, but it’s like Tip’s first sunny day in February when you realize that 30F high starts to feel warmer.

Dog looks sad about it, haha.

The good news is, with all this dry weather we've been having as of late, hoping it'll bode well for our winter. Not being so dry. Last spring and summer were wet and by the time we went into rent to return much drier. So let's hope for the other direction

Don’t worry. October and November will be super rainy, then DJF will be nice and dry.

Took a road trip south for something to do today. Went down to @backedgeapproaching’s neighborhood and drove up to the top of Equinox. It was hazy and about 75° when we were up top. Looped down through Bennington and Woodford then back up 100. Ran into some rain on the way home. It’s really needed, lots of stressed trees starting to turn colors.

I think I'll cry when your dog can't hike with you any longer. Such a dog!

Lots of half-dead cruddy foliage down here, but foliage nonetheless.  Looks like we're headed not just for BN for the end of August, but some nor'easter-type storms as well.

Tough runs for the AWATT crew.

It's supposed to be 85 to 90 the last week of August according to some.

I just got in from my sister's in Narragansett. Water ban signs up in just about every South County town. Looked like fall along sections with lots of trees already showing colors.

I was on Cape Cod this week and the water bans are being enforced.

Town of Falmouth is following people’s water meter readings and actively driving around looking for green lawns and watering going on.

The summer's over... It's all behind us..

Love this song....I think The Who is under-rated.

That's the name of their final tour. The song is over. We'll see if it's actually their final they've done hundreds of final tours.

She’s 10 and a half now and getting old.  Can’t do what she used to… but dammit I know that dog has had as good a life as they come.  So many hours spent off-leash wandering around this area and the mountains.  I’d be curious if any other dog has spent more time on Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak over the past decade, ha.

I would say no.

That looked solid on radar.  DBZ core seemed to peak from Quincy to Weymouth.

Cool outflow boundary or front pushing out ahead of it too.

Second time we got storms from that over the past 5 days. Not much thunder though.
