Just enough rain to make it more of a steam bath.

A few legit dog days ahead before some blessed relief. Hopefully that cold front delivers with some widespread significant rains, but the latest guidance suggests timing will not be ideal for severe.

Wow.  I knew that Columbia fared better than I did, but I didn’t realize that the discrepancy was that large. Only 0.28” here.

The last couple storms were definitely focused on eastern HoCo. Quick glance at some PWSs around the area suggests I was the jackzone.

Picked up an additional .30 , that plus last night gives me .94.

Appears another area of storms will drop down from Se PA and NE MD.

Very active July for sure !

Well, the area of heavier storms weakened as it neared this area, but still managed .25 so that brings me to roughly 1.25 " for the last 24 hours.

I am thinking I will let the grass go for two days, even with temps of 94 and 95 with the expectation of rainfall Wednesday night through early Friday morning.

Lawn disease and garden blight have been off the charts bad here due to high overnight lows,  and very high dew points. Having the lawn dry out a bit will be a good idea.

Wild how the same areas keep getting hit (and not hit) over and over again. I was in the "not hit" camp in June, and know I will be again.

But for today, 2.91" between late last night's/this afternoon's storms, and 9.85" for the month. Feeling pretty good about hitting 10" for the month, which is pretty surprising based on how summers have gone since moving here in 2021.

Definitely been a 'juicy' summer. IF you can get a storm, you get PLENTY of water. But, if it is a miss or near miss, just makes it more humid (if possible) and absolutely miserable. I picked up another .25" or so in like 5 minutes earlier this afternoon, got another small shower about to move in from NW.
