This has to be up there in terms of some of the biggest busts within the last decade for NYC.
1. 3/7/18 (one of those days) busts for NYC. 8-12” was forecast and we ended up with 3-6.”

2. 3/14/17 was forecast 12-18+ and we had 7-10” of snow and sleet mix.

3. 1/27/15 was forecast 24”+ and we had 9-12”.

4. 12/16/20 was forecast 12-18 and we had 8-12.”

5. 3/21/18 (one of those days) was forecast 12-18 and we had 9-12”

6. 11/27/14 (one of those days) was forecast 3-5” and we ended up with 1”.

There are a few more minor busts where we were a few inches off but arent worthy of mention.
Needless to say, we’ve had some big busts. Similarly, we’ve had some big booms.

But this one just seemed like a lock which is why it probably felt worse lol

What's new. I have a hard time even getting excited for these storms anymore. Any storm predicted 6+ inches winds up busted. The 2-4 inch storms often times come to fruition. Whoopty damn do

For everyone that busted, it's all gonna get washed away in a couple days anyway.

Even the inner city can enjoy a moment of quiet, a moment of peace, a moment of hope. As always…..

Whenever the next legitimate snow threat happens is going to cause major issues because your average person will say “Oh that last storm was nothing” “the weather professionals were all wrong!” Is going to be out and about.

Central Park got 4.3 inches. They predicted 4 - 8 inches. Not sure how this is wrong. Other parts got less, sure, but other parts got more. Snow prediction maps are not supposed to be 100% accurate.

Key here is normie, and honestly, they’re not wrong. (I know we can argue semantics, but if you promise me steak and give me hamburger, well…)

It’s got to be a real experience living in one of these supertalls. The Brooklyn Tower is having the same issues as 432 Park. Very loud noises and more sway than the residents were told about before they bought or rented.

Plus this year set the record for days with wind gusts over 40 mph by a wide margin behind all these storms racing through the Great Lakes like what we are going to see a repeat of again the next few days.
