Regarding Kevin’s flies…were they typical houseflies?
Back before we bought our house we lived in an apartment in an old house in Gardner for a few years. Each summer there was a hatch of something called cluster flies in the upstairs (unoccupied) level of that apartment.  Hundreds of them. But they were different than houseflies.

What's up with ACATT Peeps in here pretending they enjoy the outdoors at 0 degrees vs 95?

I don't mind a hot summer, today was a furnace but lower humidity.  The past three days were the hottest stretch of the summer so far in Greenfield.

I'm not ACATT but I'm probably one of the few here that doesn't mind a week of highs in the low teens and lows below zero with bare ground.   Something fascinates me about intense, dry cold.

Not sure what Kevin's were but I had typical house flies.

Also a fan of these conditions, especially skiing, keeps the crowds in the lodge and the conditions crisp.  You can dress for the cold; can't do that for heat/humidity
