I still get torn because it happened just as the gust front is going through but it had to be just behind the gust front because precip had started. I'll have to pull back radar archives.

It must have moved right over your head We’re about a mile south of that lightning bolt under the reversed U of the Pile. The bow or whatever was certainly flexed to the max here. Radar was matching up pretty well at that time with some rotation.. he was literally in the perfect spot!

I wish I was able to go down the entire road to see where the damage began but it was closed off. The purple dot was where I was and the red circle is where there were pines down. The arrow shows the track. The blue circle is where the road was closed...I could see something on fire so it had started at least a good 1/2 mile up the road...but not sure what it was like going farther down 3

Torch Tiger
were there any signs of a tornado signature at that time? I couldn't track earlier. Looks like a minor spin-up but nice catch

Snowedin
Congrats to everyone who got in on the action but as usual with these west-east tracks, just a quick shower here. Hardly enough to wash away one of the many layers of pollen starting to build. Heck of a day though before the clouds started building!
radarman
I know these aren't the greatest but this is zoomed in base velocity from ENX and BOX on Wiz's location, and a BOX reflectivity shot for reference. Hard to see much, but if you had a plot of SRV you might see something a bit clearer given the storm is moving east pretty fast. Also Nexrad coverage sucks out here, so there's that. Looks like there might have been something also just S of CEF, but that little red speck is N of Paul. 1

I was watching this storm and you need to look before this frame.. there was rotation to the SW.. radarscope was also showing reports of large trees and branches down..

weatherwiz
I wish now I was parked several spots over to my right...I wouldn't have had the building obstructing me, I could have maybe seen it coming from farther away. I still can't believe it...the lights flickering too just before it approached...very movie like.

Very cool for you! I only got to see it for seconds. I saw it coming from over the bank and then pass me. But if I was several parking spots to the right I wouldn't have had the bank obstructing that direction and I probably would have been able to see it come from up the road.
