My comment was directed to a particular poster in Tolland who has held firm on his forecast of just showers for today. I didn't think anyone was calling us out, but I did want to make sure GYX was following my own advice before I started talking about it. Thankfully we no showers up here. weatherwiz
Another D3 moderate risk. April has been quiet after a wild March. Hopefully May gets active and that translates this way late May and June

Typhoon Tip
I dunno ... we got .81" here and another .2 - .3 looks like coming in per radar. seems the 1 to 1.25 has a chance yet at verifying at least here.
Modfan2
So far .53 here in E CT, lawn and fertilizer happy. While a nice drink, not enough to dent the brush fire threat here as we will quickly dry out tomorrow and breezy next week!

If this was an example of morning showers, 8 hours of dry, then evening showers, then sure. But that’s not what this is. Some areas are getting several hours of rain, a short break, and then more rain. Maybe some are getting a slightly longer break than others. Almost no one is saying “I should have had that BBQ today, it stopped raining for an hour.” It’s not a total washout but an inch to an inch and a half of rain over a 24 hour stretch with a few short breaks in between - no normal person is calling today being forecasted as a “rainy day” a bust. My son is 9 and he called it a rainy day when discussing going outside. A 9 year old… 1
