OceanStWx
I'll say without any knowledge of the air mass, the radar velocity sure looks like a tropical cyclone feeder band.

Totally thought that this morning. Intense rain then wind in the dry slot. How many more ULLs can we see??
weatherwiz
Should see the LLJ strengthen over the next several hours. Going to enhance the heavy rain across much of Connecticut northward and should also locally enhance tornado potential.

OceanStWx
Nice MCD with a 60% chance of a tornado watch for parts of the area. It's been a solid 2-3 years for most people since the last one.

I'm a little worried this all slows to a crawl once it gets over Connecticut and then gets enhanced with the increasing LLJ. 1

weatherwiz
So much embedded rotation within this stuff as it enters Connecticut. Plenty of llvl CAPE with enlarging hodos

High res seems a little more muted compared to those weenie epic flooding runs last night, but 1) as you said we could see this slow up a bit over CT later this morning and 2) it's going to be highly efficient at producing precipitation. Won't take much for a 1-2"/hr period.

All really going to come down to how progressive this can remain. LLJ is strengthening as we speak so we're going to see a greater flux of inflow too.
