Same temp/rn. Absolutely miserable. Nothing but a glass of wine or two won't fix

Yeah, I had mentioned the other day it’s driving people to drink as I sit here having one now.

Would love to see some pictures.

Of weather that makes people drink?

Heres right now. Rain stopped, just some mist. Ceilings at 2,000ft… sort of claustrophobic in the valley as the mountains disappear into the clouds on all sides.

Its either this or smoke.

If that Torrington/Winsted cell could get going, it could be your next severe warning. I'd favor Fairfield County for the next severe warning though. Atmosphere ahead of that cell in CT most be a bit tainted overall.

This cell is “on my radar” heh.

So all last night and then most of today there’s been these standing thunderstorms on the north slope of the Adirondacks.

I wish I could loop a radar past 12 hours or so.  It’s just been sitting there in N.NY in the same area since last evening.

Radar estimates are now in the 8-10” range and they just keep gushing water.

They mentioned flooding in that area on the local news this morning.

Just saw the WCAX weather.  There was swift water rescue called out in Ellenburg Depot, NY. The time liaise radar showed the training. It looked a lot like an LES streamer off Ontario.

Amazingly stable like a standing wave of 2”/hr rain rates.

Oddly, as damp as it has been, I’ve seen almost no mosquitoes this year.

It's been a weird year. I had absolutely no black flies this year, not one. Hadn't seen a single yellow jacket until today. Still haven't seen a hornet which are usually around the eaves of my garage. Probably not a good sign for the ecosystem.

Unfortunately I have had hungry mosquitoes the past few evenings.
