BlizzLuv Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 I had to take my wife to doctor this afternoon. We left Hillsborough around 4:45 and headed to New Providence. On Rt 78 we experienced some of the most torrential rains that i have driven in in several years. Everyone cruising with flashers and a fair amount of cars pulled over. Picard Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 Up to 2.27" on the day. Pouring again. I'm going into hour 7 of observable thunder and lightening. I took this photo earlier from the Stop and Shop in Sparta of brightening skies off to the west and ominous storm clouds overhead and to the east. A little thunder and the rain wasn't as heavy as what we got in the afternoon. The stuff to the southwest looks pretty intense though, so looking forward to that. The period of time from midnight to mid morning Tuesday has potential to be a bit noisy with heavy downpours from time to time. Strong to severe storm potential resumes tomorrow PM and may even recur Wednesday PM....not sure about Wed. Thursday could be a little drier again.
