Central PA Winter 2022/2023

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, Cashtown_Coop here.  I had to make a new account.  I simply tried updating my email on my original account and I was blocked out of site.  The message  that popped said it was going to send a confirmation email to my new provided email, but nothing came.   I checked the junk box as well.  Then I tried my wife’s email with no luck.  Next I sent two separate messages to an administrator message area with no response.  Does anyone have suggestions on how to restore my account?   @stormtrackerif you could maybe help me that would be great.  Please pm me on how to fix this.   Thanks.

If I still lived in PA and loved snow, I'd probably be quite pessimistic right now about the upcoming potential considering the overall winter pattern up to this point.

Exactly my point. This winter has been exhausting…tracking everything just goes in the opposite direction of how we want it to trend. The fact that the GFS has been rock steady and now everything is trending towards it is a big sign that’s its game over at least for anyone south of the turnpike.

Lol, the GFS had the original idea for this major snow storm for multiple days & runs until the last couple of days.

The vast majority of the other models & ensembles had a major Winter storm for the last couple of days. The GFS was the only Outlier this weekend!

The 12z Euro & Canadian still have a Warning level event.
This is not over for most of us in CTP.

The 18z ICON has over 6 inches of snow for most of CTP, including the LSV, at the end of the run at 120 hours on Friday afternoon. I posted the low position at the end of the run at 18z Friday.

I don’t have access to 24 hour ICON snow maps, but the iCON has no snow in the LSV with the event tomorrow night. I posted below the ICON snow through Tuesday am & then the snow map through Friday at the end of the run.

All of the snow in Harrisburg, York & Lancaster is from the Friday event, which is still ongoing at the end of the run Friday at 18z.

The GFS is far from set in stone for the Friday event.

Here is the 18z run (top) vs. the 12z run (bottom).

The 18z moved the snow line over 100 miles back to the south in PA.

The 12z run had the 3 inch line in Williamsport.
The 18z run has the 3 inch line in Lancaster.

This is not done yet for anyone in PA!

Got bitten by a mosquito this evening. If they’re already out they’re going to be awful by May.

We have had mosquitos every month including Dec.  Par for the course now.   Not even the Dec freeze took them down.

I was scratching my leg a few days ago and it dawned on me after the fact that it was mosquito bite. On like February 21st. Ridiculous.

We have a deck that is covered but they deck boards allow bugs up sometimes. We have one flying around in our deck in mid January.  It just took a few days of warm.

When you contract malaria, do you have the helicopter summoned from atop your yacht to heliport you to HIA to fly you to receive treatment somewhere in Prague or do you walk down to Patient First like the rest of us plebes?

I would’ve assumed it’d be too windy to fly one in lol.
He has the money to pay the wind to simply stop. But like all rich assholes, he's also a cheapskate and it's cheaper to bitch about losing garbage cans than it is to stop the wind forever.
