Not sure what there doing at GSP another weekend asleep at the wheel I guess. Was so funny watching Kendra Kent and other mets on fox about 30 minutes ago making up all kinds of excuses and still doubting this was happening.

Kendra Kent might be the worst Met in the Greenville area...

I know that ben doofen- bach he said only a few flakes mixed in with the rain last night at 10pm. But, they show now before each weather segment certified most accurate weather in the upstate which is BS!

They’re just so dam afraid to forecast snow! Even after looking stupid about a week ago, you think they wouldn’t be caught looking even stupider! EVERY model showed snow, the ones they hug too! Futurecast was looking lit last night at 5 pm news, and CJ just looking dumb saying flurries mixing in!

Fox is entertaining to watch, if nothing else. With 3 mets on simultaneously, it’s a battle to see who can talk over who. And have you seen the size of Ben D.’s hands!?

I feel like the forum members on here nailed it much better than any met on tv or at NWS. Kudos to all on here.

absolutely ripping again here. just measure 2.5 inches.  I think we're getting at least 3 before it slacks off. Incredible! The biggest snow for me since January 2011.

Got around 2.5-3 inches here in Jackson county, GA. Coming to an end soon, but what a nice surprise. All snow from start to finish, and beat the "up to 1 inch" prediction.

^^ A radar loop from within the thread that luckily is still online!!  It is a very different time of year and different type of system, but it feels similar enough to mention!

Just shifted over to very light rain ... sigh ... it was nice while it lasted.  Looks like we are just on the edge of the rain/snow line and one exit further north on 400 they are getting MY snow.

About 3.5" on deck, 1+ on the ground.

GSP trying to play catch up:

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
As of 1100 AM: Light to moderate snow, with some areas of +SN
continues to overspread the Upper Savannah River Valley and the NC
mtns late this morning. The latest high res/ short term models
indicate partial thickness values are more than favorable for snow
across all but perhaps the extreme southeast part of the forecast
area, so p-type will hinge largely on surface temps. Mid clouds
overspreading the western part of the area just after sunrise
resulted in surface temps not warming as fast as previously
anticipated. While some warming from the south is expected to occur
into the afternoon, which could force a changeover to rain south of
I-85, it`s looking increasingly like locations across the western
half of the area, and along/north of I-85 will see mostly snow. The
Winter Weather Advisory has been expanded to include another row of
zones to the south of the old advisory. Even outside of the advisory
area, accumulating sub-advisory snowfall (< 1 inch
Piedmont/foothills), < 2 inches mountains are likely. The only
exception may be the I-77 corridor, where temps have warmed to
around 40, and guidance strongly agrees that liq equivalent precip
will only be around 0.05". Nevertheless, with surface wet bulb temps
still just below freezing, especially north of I-85, some dustings
will be possible in those areas.

The wave responsible for this mess will move rapidly east this
evening, with lingering precipitation paring back to the typical
west to northwest flow moisture areas before ending overnight. This
airmass will support max temps today some 15 to 20 degrees below
climo, with mins 1 to 2 categories below climo tonight.

Never got a drop of rain here either.

Even it under performed..it had me either right on the transition line or rain depending on the run. It did best with temps though, as well as a couple of the wrf runs. Looks like the rain/snow line was from washington to monroe or conyers here in georgia...about 30 miles south of where the nam put it...and i don't know, 75 on the hrrr lol

Nice to bust on the positive end for a damn change.

Ended up with about 2.5” in Woodstock GA, now melting rapidly. This is from just a bit further north in Canton/Ball Ground near the Cherokee county airport at 11am.
