  SOUTHEASTERN PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...

* UNTIL 1245 PM EDT.

* AT 1213 PM EDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
  TORNADO WAS LOCATED 9 MILES NORTHWEST OF STAFFORD, MOVING EAST AT
  40 MPH.

  HAZARD...TORNADO.

  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

  IMPACT...FOR THOSE IN THE DIRECT PATH OF A TORNADO TOUCHDOWN, 
           FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT 
           SHELTER. DAMAGE TO ROOFS, SIDING, AND WINDOWS MAY OCCUR. 
           MOBILE HOMES MAY BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. TREE DAMAGE IS 
           LIKELY.

* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR...
  DALE CITY, QUANTICO, MONTCLAIR, TRIANGLE AND DUMFRIES AROUND 1235

Big uptick in lighting with activity west of I-81.  Probably getting into better instability.

We are going to miss that stuff along I-81 unless it starts extending south. Looks like the discrete stuff out ahead is the bigger tornado risk - QLCS style stuff maybe in the line later.

SPC mesoanalysis update shows ~1,000 - 1,500 SBCAPE ahead of that line approaching I-81.  Helicity getting a bit better too.

Mostly overcast in upper NW. Maybe that little eruption about to cross the Potomac and ride the DC/MONTCO border will make things exciting around here.

Big drops, little wind at least over here in Falls Church.  Only lost about two degrees.  68.0
