Looking at the latest guidance, tomorrow night , and then again Friday evening, look like the best potential for my area. And the latter depends on how fast the front moves through. That action could easily end up south of here.

These cumulus clouds don't even look like they could become storms anytime soon. In fact, they look like the kind of flat, puffy clouds you usually see after a cold front passage.

I was thinking exactly this on my drive home.

Nothing like the last several days when there were towers all over the place.

That was a pretty fantastic storm.

For someone other than me.

Radar is really pathetic considering the watch. I mean, I was expecting a complete zero today of all the days this week. <Shrugs shoulders>.

Radar looks pretty lame except for right over my house. Today was my lucky day. Classic summer thunderstorm with gusty winds, ground shaking thunder and sheets of rain. Still raining along with nearby lightning. Once it's done I'll go check the rain bucket and see what I got.

Love the temperature look on the models next few weeks. Don't see any prolonged HOT stretches. A few days in the 80's next week, but otherwise hanging around 80. I wouldn't mind some solid rain chances, but if it wants to stay dry through November and then bring the precipitation, I wouldn't be mad lol. Just can't wait to get rid of these mid 70's low temperatures! Nasty!

after almost 10 inches of rain in July, I'm at .37 for August. Haven't had measurable rain since the 14th.

River levels are low which can be good for fishing as it holes the fish up.  Hoping to hit up the Monocacy this weekend.

Also...DCA and BWI notch another 90°.

Similar situation here.

I understand how Stephens City feels now. Tumbleweeds everywhere.
