I wonder if the NWS goes higher with their temps for the next few days, it seems like the models have been trending warmer. Mid 90's possible?

COuld see it with more sun.  Look at LGA earlier this week with lower 850's  Park is a jungle and likely wont exceed upper 80s / maybe a 90.

Lots of 88/89's this season so far.

I agree, it has definitely been a hot, humid and muggy summer. Since May I have had 24 days with temps of 90 or above here and it looks like I will add on a few more starting tomorrow.

Today makes 21 days at JFK with a 75 degree or higher maximum dew point. This is the extreme humidity version of Newark going over 20 days with a maximum temperature of 95 degrees or higher. The last year Newark did this was in 2010. This is the first time that JFK had 17 or more days for 3 consecutive years. The only time EWR had 3 consecutive years with 17 or more 95 degree days was 2010 to 2012.

The 1” at the Wantagh meso fell in about 20 minutes. While brief, some of the heaviest rates I have ever seen.
