supernovasky Posted July 22, 2018 Rain rate has fallen to 1"/hour. Sitting at 6.5". Probably will end up with 7" on the day, more if the yellows sustain on the back end. Most rain since I've moved here. Downright tropical amounts.
Stormpc Posted July 22, 2018 That Cameron Station Huntington area floods out every 10 years or so. 5.23 so far. Woodbridge va. Creeks caved a few hours ago and the woods behind the house are inundated with 1 or 2 ft of water. Could be higher now but it's dark I can't see.

JWilliam9830 Posted July 22, 2018 A very stormy night with east-facing windows getting hammered with 40 or so MPH gusts. Trees swaying like crazy. 73/73 and 2.09'' of rain and counting.

supernovasky Posted July 22, 2018 I literally would spam this forum if I kept posting water rescues but they are coming in ALL over the region. I’m above 7” now in East Germantown, multiple PWS verified. Rain still very steady.

mattie g Posted July 22, 2018 Rain stopped in Burke just in time. Water had started overwhelming our sump pump.
coolio Posted July 22, 2018 My yellows are turning to green. So I'm ending with 4.80 according to my digital rain gauge. May pick up a smidgen more I guess. I think that'll do it for DCA too. I always hate it when a rain event goes over to the next day. Yes, I'm anal. Good night!
losetoa6 Posted July 22, 2018 Currently 59/59 with moderate rain. Up to 2.80" . Been between 59 -63 deg all day . Incredible totals from some of you guys .
GramaxRefugee Posted July 22, 2018 Over 5 here by now. Electric gauge got clogged and I cleared it a few hours ago, so I have to estimate until reading the normal gauge again tomorrow. (Which was 2.72 at 2100L) Even so, it's reading over 4.5, and Dr. Davis says it's raining cats and dogs.

supernovasky Posted July 22, 2018 PWS's range from 5-7.5" in my area. Two 7+" stations within a mile of me. Rain is still coming down too. Germantown is getting shellacked right now. I'm going to sleep. At this point It'll never end and I'll just assume everything's gonna be ultra flooded tomorrow.

Stormpc Posted July 22, 2018 For a stratiform rain event (no real instability) in July, this is a anomalous event by all measures. 3 to 8 inches region wide (sorry NPZ) is huge
