I plan on having one if the winds die down.

It may be Meteorologic first day of Autumn ...  and the Julian-based recognition in 20 days ?

But the here and now reality of Nature says it is Fall out there one way or the other.

Classic shot across the bow air mass here - in fact, it is aggressive enough that it is more than that.  Snow was in the air in eastern Ontario above that latitude of Ottawa overnight - at least it was modeled in short terms to do so...

It may seem right on top of climo?  Relative to all, I suspect it is a huge anomaly though ...if perhaps masked and unnoticed.

You go to the Tap House? Good drinks there. Also, Bear Bones Brewery just opened.

Did not know either existed.  Thanks for the heads up.

If you like Italian, try Vivos, next door to Tap House. Chef is from Boston. Exceptional food.

Venezia is the place I've always gone too through the years.

Feels awesome out there...just like how the post-frontal Grinch storm on Christmas morning will feel.

Yup while we continue to wait for the backside snows that never materialize with the FROPA

until persistence knocks over... this is 1995 autumn to me..

We'll get dying frets of heat ...but latitudes that flip onto the polarward side of the westerlies are going to be (similarly) hopeless to go back.

That was 1995 incarnate.

Per Wx2fish, there were flakes in Pittsburg NH.

:weenie:

But given the cool temps this morning and dews in the 30s, a pocket of drier air aloft could certainly have squeezed out a few mangled flakes.

I was wondering because we had a min of 33F at 4kft....now up to 35F but there was a thick above freezing layer to get flakes even to 2,500ft.

Guess dry air could do it.
