Sunday (Fathers Day) looks pleasant away from the immediate coast. Unfortunately the Easterly winds thanks to the ULL to the Southeast will keep temperatures down and there could be some issues with fog/marine layer. Once you get further inland towards NW NJ and the Trenton area things look great with temps in the upper 70's to near 80 and sun.

The next chance of storms is on Tuesday with a cold front. The GFS has some decent SBCAPE, the Euro is less impressive.

That persistent East Cost troughing is good for recurving tropical threats. Especially as we get later in the season and phasing potential increases.

need some storms.  Last 3 years have been completely dead. Hopefully with the developing Nina, the basin becomes more active.   There's some really warm water in the MDR, so anything that gets going has some extra fuel this year.

Anyone wants to post the Euro weeklies?

Nearly all of the US with above normal temps for the next 46 days. Warmest departures focused over the

Central and Western US. But the usual caveat is that the EPS quickly loses skill after the 6-10 day period

like just about all other models.

Newark N.J. June max from 1959-1969...

1959...100

1960.....92

1961.....98

1964.....99

1965.....97

1967.....95

1968.....95

1969.....96

2011 was the only year during the 2000's so far with a 100 degree or higher June reading at Newark.

But that single 102 temp was good enough to tie the all time June highest temperature.

101...1994/1988/1966

Since 1977, only hit 100 at this station in June, back in 1988.
