Yikes its icy out there.  Was 33F at the house but the SUV was still completely encased in glaze.

 

Roads were just wet down in town but once above 1,300ft it became black pond ice. 

 

Find the inversion.  The station up on the ridge is getting 40kts and warming rapidly.  Just downslope several hundred feet below the ridge though still locked in the 20s with not much wind.  Amazing how that happens.

29.5F  light freezing rain.   We had quite a bit of sleet early this morning so the trees are glazed but doing fine.  Low clouds lifted and got to look up at the 1800 foot ridges.  Trees are much more heavily glazed up there.  I assume while I had sleet it was just freezing rain at elevations a bit higher up.
