mattinpa
CMC is Jan blizzard all over again lol Is it the time frame the GFS has a storm? GFS was warmer on the 0z run, but lots of time to track.
MJO812
0z CMC 240 snowmap. This run was very snowy for the northeast. Is it the time frame the GFS has a storm? GFS was warmer on the 0z run, but lots of time to track. Yes. CMC has both waves that the GFS show. GFS has both waves warm while the GGEM has both waves snow. SnoSki14
AO forecast isn't very encouraging. If we do get a storm next week I think it'll be mostly rain. Interior might finally do well though. I'm going to say winter is wrapping up quickly in terms of more snow events. March is always a question mark though it's been more favorable as of late so we'll see.

Pellice
I am wondering why there isn't fog in my area (central NJ). The temperature has risen so fast, more than 15F in two hours, that the top layer of the snow/ice that fell last night has melted and is lying on top of the still frozen layer. Ice and snow are still patchily covering the field behind my house. Shouldn't there be fog in such a situation, with warm air rolling in over a cold, wet ground? SnoSki14
06z gfs has a huge storm signal next week too. Big PNA spike around that time could mean it's legit but need the AO to be more negative for a colder solution.

NycStormChaser
I didn't plan on shooting the sunrise today but I checked the satellite imagery and noticed a small and quick opening approaching. It didn't disappoint.

Neblizzard
Snowman is holed up in his at least -6 east-based El Nino warmth in Rockland. Will soon post again that it's going to rain on Tuesday. Give him credit. He said no major snow events in January and that we would see transient shots of cooler air in Feb. This weekend was very warm thanks to the "super raging niño" it's a beautiful thing.

UlsterCountySnowZ
i see now reason why the gfs/ggem strom cannot occur, decent high parked to the north, slowly retreating....

Hailstorm
Where ? Look again I saw the Euro map you posted and it showed a hugger. Allsnow said it was snow to a mix, dryslot. As bluewave said, we need the Euro to show a suppressed storm now because it will likely trend west.
