Chance at 70 tomorrow. Which would break the record at KBUF by 6 degrees. lol

The all time record Dec high is 74 in 1982, another record El Nino. It all makes sense.

Monday
Showers, mainly after 2pm. High near 70. South wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

This warm weather is nice.  Just wish we had some sun.  Air has a bit of a heavy feel to it.

I went outside... turned around and went right back inside. Unless I was golfing, it looks like a dreary day in late April. People don't get excited for dreary April days.

Yeah these are perfect temps for full court basketball, that is the most draining activity with high temps. I play indoor full court 1/2 times a week.

We have a few dedicated people who have formed leagues for 30+ men and open the gym up 2 other days of the week. I have lost 30 lbs in the process.

No outdoor. I play indoor 1/2 mile away at my gym. Outdoor is so much better.

This is more of a discussion for banter, but it is a Sunday and we have no winter weather to talk about... soo.

I prefer indoors, but I wouldn't turn down an outdoor game. I don't exactly live in an urban area, so we don't have many outdoor hoops with many people regularly playing. The indoor gym we have 2 and a half games going non-stop and usually 4-5 people sitting out waiting (and mocking the other guys in the game for fun).

our positive departure for december is going to be a beast

yea, pretty sure I didn't see any calls for a +10 or +12 December.   Wonder how high some of our locations will hit.    What's really been incredible lately are the overnight lows departures.   Usually if you have a freakish high of 60 in December, the lows will manage to drop back off to 30s or 40s.  Hell  I've been waking up with temps in the upper 50's the last several days.

i saw the warmth coming (as did anyone who didn't let their weenie goggles blind them to strong nino climo) but i didn't anticipate being this wet, which has probably helped hold temps up at night somewhat

Us and a part of central Russia are leading the pack globally.

Someone mentioned that the whole planet is running +2.5F above 1880 levels.

+2.5 locally would be glorious.

You're not going to see anyone go with a +10 or greater month ahead of time...not even the warm trolls.

Running at +10.4° above normal here. This week will be bringing that down.

Today almost feels cold compared to yesterday.

Today through Wednesday will be 3 more well above +10 departures in the bag, and Thursday will be above normal as well due to above normal lows and highs near normal. Friday and Saturday will be the only days with a chance to be below normal, so if anything our departures will be even higher than they are now by the end of the week.

Meant to say weekend/Friday.

Within striking distance of 40" for the year now.
