Too bad it doesn't look to last long, but some big ole dendrites falling right now. Some flakes stuck to other flakes kind of action. Glad I couldn't sleep and decided to peek out the window. :D

 

A couple of ice reports from central Indiana.

Thanks I had not thought of that. Definitely had clouds overhead but absolutely no new flakes...noticed the did receive new snow 5 miles south this morning where it showed on both maps..Will check it out

Check the scale bar (one may be picking up very light reflectivities like those < 10 dBZ while others are limiting it to significant returns) and also check the scan time. Since it's the same data, one shouldn't be any better than the other except in how the GUI presents the data.

Measured 3.25" here in Columbus Grove as of about an hour ago. 3" all snow, .25" snow/sleet, and a glazing of ice on everything. May be up to 3.5 by now, will have to look again. Hard to measure the snow pack with all the drifting from previous events, but I believe we have about 8" overall.
