Welcome to bowling season! (3/29-4/1 disco)

Typhoon Tip

Recommended Posts

3.65" rainfall so far.  0.85" last hour.   Temp peaked at 56F at 6am and has fallen 10F since then.   Storm total should easily exceed 4" here.

Wow!!!  That's a ton of water.

A relatively paltry 2.16 here at the Pit.

What's the thinking for temps to dip for zr here tonight?  Frankly, with the heavy rain, I expect little accretion with marginal temps.

34.5/34

Raining and 32 here, but no accretion so it's probably 32.2 or some such, 0.65" precip. Had 1" snow at the start. We're one of the WWA plus flood watch areas, though radar shows the heavier rain's back edge isn't too far away, so any floods here would probably be ice jams. The snowpack (down to 35" here) isn't fully ripe yet, so I don't see any big melt-off from this cold RA event.

That's an interesting one.

I just went to Channell 22 website, and there's nothing on it about this.

The Sultan has been extremely busy this morning..his Cape is tattered and torn..but bagging must be done

After 3"-5" of rain in parts of eastern Connecticut rivers haven risen out of their banks. The Willimantic, Mount Hope, Yantic, and Quinebaug Rivers are all above flood stage or about to be. Rivers will crest over the next couple hours. Even though the flooding will be "minor" remember to stay away from flood waters.

i've learned to live with loosing my snow to rain. god grant me the serenity...
