Damage In Tolland
Not sure what you mean? My concern for your well being grows. Bringing everyone up to the Canada border down when snow melts. Sorry snow matters so much to you. I have other issues at hand. I'm hopeful that the folks up north can get thru the mild spell until winter returns next week. They should be ok..despite some of your dire forecasts for them. And yes..your issues are plain to see to all of us that post here. I sincerely hope you are able to resolve them. Don't let them overtake your life. Deal with them head on
weathafella
Meh..a few days of mild wx don't matter..we already see the return of winter later next week and it locks in..so it's ok Sorry you didn't get more It may not lock in bit we'll get at least a week of it. Seems like it can take us well into early Feb..that's all we can ask for at this point. By then it's a month away from spring unfortunately
codfishsnowman
It's funny..the areas south of pike that lost all the snow yesterday is where the squall hit..and the areas that kept snow didn't see much of anything. Almost perfectly aligned i lost most of the snow and still got boned....im south of the pike, some of us double jackpotted the way we do best in dv lol

TauntonBlizzard2013
What a pleasant surprise this morning. Woke up to about 3/4" new snow. Grass pretty much completely covered again, was not expecting that. It was mentioned, but I figured it was a slim chance i would get into one. Nice morning

snowman21
Back to the cold... so far unimpressive for what was supposed to be the coldest in two decades. '09, '05, and '04 had more impressive cold shots in my opinion. It's too early in the month to talk departures, but when you look at BDL over the three day period centered on today, the mega-death super polar vortex is going to throw up dailies of 55/26, 20/5?, 22?/0?. I know...I guess I'm just tired of hearing about it. Wake me when someone actually approaches a state low temperature record. Maybe one of the southern states will get within 15-20 degrees. Even in the plains getting an air temperature in the -20s or -30s at the coldest time of the year really isn't all that unusual.

Over to DC too...they will have their coldest avg temp day since 1994 today I'm pretty sure. This trajectory was bad for us...the core of the cold rotating down into the OH valley and then E and eventually ENE is always "sloppy seconds" for us.
