NOAA still calling for 2-4" across central LI. Radar is showing 2nd wave being suppressed and thinned out in the last frames. Not looking good. Plus the snow was already falling with grauple/sleet at 10am near Ronkonkoma

The reason for graupel was poor snow growth in light precip. But reports of rain in Monmouth County mean that it won't be long before the southern half of Long Island have the same.

Call me nuts, but plenty of reports here of an inch... And the advisory now calls for 2-4... and the forecast discussion has always said 2-4 in NYC and NW (save far NW)*... So what many need is another inch in 4 hours to get there? Doesn't seem far fetched.

 

BTW, lightly snowing here in the NW Bronx... 

 

*Why they didn't split Orange from the rest of the advisory originally, I'm not sure.

whats coming out of dover to what just west of philly , you will snow for a little , looks like they hook up as they head NE .. possible

Radar is filling in a bit to the west again over eastern PA
