Judging from the nature of the developing radar returns to our WSW, I dont think this is going to be much worse than showery.

 

Therefore, I expect up to half an inch of snow/sleet slop, followed by a minor glaze of ice. The roads are relatively warm and should resist most of the ice accretion, and traffic should do the rest. I should get off easy, but I feel for ppl in the mountain valleys and much farther north where I feel the ice accumulations are going to build up to significant levels, with unfortunate consequences.

 

Not sure if that counts for the first radar hallucination of the night, but if not, this one does:  most of the good returns seem kinda north and the trajectory seems like most of the stuff would pass to the north of DC.  Now, someone tell me that this is exactly as the models have depicted at this juncture so I can feel better.
