June 24-? severe weather discussion

WJLA/WTOP's meteorologist Lauryn Ricketts put this picture online of the wall of her high-rise Alexandria apartment buckling in the wind."Honestly, one of the most terrifying moments to date. Trying to keep my windows from caving in during 70 mph winds on the top floor. Thanks to Alex Liggitt, my colleague who was on the phone with me (while I was telling him I wasn't available to work at that moment) yelling at me to practice what I preach and get away from the windows. Close call

Line back west is more or less dead.

We did have a ton of rain the first half of June but since then it has been back to normal in the Central Maryland Desert Region with just 0.4" combined the last two weeks.  I am calling it now - despite good chances of t-storms for the next six days, we will get lass than 0.5" total here.  I am going out this evening to water the gardens.
