I know I asked you, but I didn't see a response back....do you have an engineering background?

I think I replied to that post a day later. My only degree is met, but I did consider environmental engineering once. There's another guy out there with my name that I believe is an electrical engineer...I honestly should contact him sometime for advice on my projects.

Oh ok, I must have missed it. You seem good with EE type stuff so that's why I asked.

Yeah nearly 3" in an hour. That's how flash flooding happens. LEB has gotten smoked hard twice this summer with insane rain rates.

That kind of rain has to be doing some damage on the already weakened infrastructure. Local LEOs couldn't talk to us on the phone because they were so swamped with calls, so we know something is going on.

Managed to get our two-day field exercise done without being sluiced. Thunder all around yesterday aft, some heavy rain as we drove from Rangeley to Bigelow, but the underbrush north of the mountain was thankfully dry. Steady light-mod rain late aft as we walked the 2 miles into the Flagstaff hut (Maine Huts and Trails), with warmth and humidity such that raincoats got wet from both inside and out. Lighter rain there this morning and mercifully cooler, then just mist on the walk out. Could've been much worse.

The usual afternoon program of watching showers and tstorms pop up along the Spine and drift eastward...big looking storm just north of here and a few sprinkles from these clouds drifting off Mansfield.

Yesterday I had three different brief showers wet the driveway but only came away with 0.03", lol.
