Estimated snowfall of 0.4" so far, hopefully we can sqeeze out an inch total. There are many "drifts" owing to the wind (especially curb drifts) and the roads are dangerous with all the ice on them.

About the same here. Thought we would have a minor snow depth that appears unlikely with only a dusting to 0.5" expected for the rest of the day.

Legitimate heavy snow just north of Findlay... a lot of rural schools look bad with high schoolers coming in right now for exams. Basically every school that delayed will be forced to close... which I expected. Visibility looks to be about 1/3 of a mile.

This storm failed though for our area big time. I was at 2-4" for us and all we wound up getting was a dusting :bag:

Things getting underway in Cleveland. This should transition to lake effect this afternoon. Overall, performing as expected.

Snowfall measuring remains an inexact science.

As typical, low ball amounts from the COOP observer in IKK. Though I guess this was a "tough to get an accurate measurement" kind of storm.

Well at VU we're up to 4.5" now which seems to jive with the surrounding Porter County obs. Crown Point at 7.0" seems a tad high but we were in a dryslot (as you heard me complain about repeatedly) for quite some time while a strong band sat just to our south, so it's at least plausible.

LES streamers are sometimes comprised of very shallow convection. So shallow the radar beams can sometimes overshoot them.

That's my guess.

I considered that too, but LOT really isn't that far. The beam is about 4000 feet AGL on its lowest (0.5 degree) tilt. It's lightened up a bit now but it's still definitely more than just blowing snow.
