I have posted some thoughts on my blog about the potential for wintry precipitation associated with the clipper this weekend, if anyone wants to give it a read. The Nam is obviously the most bullish, but some of the regional WRF models are really painting an interesting picture as well.

For the Blog >>> http://blizzard.atms...apin/local.html. Its also under my main page link below.

Haha, I remember using blizzard for FORTRAN when I was at UNCA. Great write up.

It was 26 IMBY this morning with some of the thickest freezing fog I've ever seen. I wish I didn't have to leave so early so I could have seen everything frosted. Visibility was at the most 100 feet.

It was quite frosty in the Alpharetta area on my way to work this morning. Wish it were snow but nice to look at!

If anybody in Ga. sees snow it'll be you and or NeGa. It's very depressing to get on here and see and know that we poor South carolinians have zero shot at snow this week or next week, especially since it'll be so cold. All we have to hope for is a return of winter in Feb. or early March.

Good luck to ya Rosie and post some pics if you see ANY!

37/28 as of the 6pm hour... Went outback to have a feel and something chased me back on the porch, or at-least it sounded like it. Grabbed the rifle, and went to have a look with the maglite, 3 flipping deer, WTF, grazing on the bradford pear tree no more than 25 ft away. Tempted to light one up, but since they were not messing with the clover, granted the pardon for them to live another day. :pimp:

This is a pretty amazing vid if you have fast access. Tower climbers. These folks would be uniquely interested in minute to minute weather changes. Warning..it goes on for a while.

I wet my pants.

Notice the clouds. T

I literally couldn't watch this past 2:30 or so, being afraid of heights. My feet and palms are literally sweaty right now, more power to people who can do this stuff.

Bradford pears, or whatever it is that grows on this tree, are just starting to soften and attracting animals. I have had the squirrels up in the tree feasting for the past week or so in the mornings, but never knew deer liked them. Grazing on the low branches ripe with fruit, better than my clovers though. This is also the sacrificial tree from last winter that I put a 1" plus glaze on with the sprinkler over a couple hour span one evening with temps crashing through the 20's. Did not realize, well kind of did, we would barely make it out of the 30's for a week after that. Branches now hang lower than they used to  . Thinking about cutting it down, as it looks fuggly, and is getting to close to the deck.
