  1. Past hour
  2. Leaf out proceeding nicely here. Oaks coming now with small leaves. Glad we here.
  3. That bridge is the Fisher Covered Bridge in Walcott. It’s right next to Rt. 15. I had originally thought about riding towards Walden but there is work going on to repair flood damage from last summer.
  4. Got a near grapefruit hailer, lone HP supercell near the middle Rio Grande south of Del Rio TX. With that intensity, the core will likely miss Laredo (but could try to cross the river next to Zapata into deep STX in a while). It’s a pretty big cell that should have no problem sustaining itself for the next couple of hours out there with very easy access to the very warm/humid untapped environment downstream southeast and backed low-level moist inflow from the Gulf. Storm top easily next to 60 Kft right now on ET radar.
  5. My average high so far this month is below 70. Meanwhile Central Prk has hit 87 and Newark 90, two different worlds.
  6. My sister in law lives in Walden off Bayley Hazen Road. That bridge looks like the one that goes over 15. The path also crosses Bayley Hazen Road. They were still building it the last time I was up there.
  7. My numbers for the month of April 2024 Averaged high was 68.3 degrees vs a normal of 66.2 degrees, a +2.1 degrees above average. Overall averaged temp was 56.1 degrees vs a normal of 52.5 degrees, a +3.6 degrees above average. Total precip for the month was 4.00 inches vs a normal of 3.64 inches, a +0.36 above average. The wettest day was the 12th with 2.34 inches falling. There were 15 days with measurable, 3 days with a 'T' and 12 dry days. Total snowfall for the month was a 'T', which happened on two consecutive days, the 5th and 6th vs a normal of 0.3 inches, a -0.3 inches below average. Records go back to Oct 1979.
  8. One of the courts I shoot hoops at is a full court with the practice hoop (i.e., has a net) facing directly east. Definitely had to fight a breeze. Fun week to get out and about, but I'm good with a couple of cooler days before T&L chances increase next week.
  9. Was busting the everything attributed to CC crowd. Pretty crazy though.
  10. Send it to Joe bastardi he will have a field day.
  11. Mine too. I added cow manure recently will give more fruit late in the season. Apply straw mulch as a top dressing to keep moisture in the soil, but also prevent the heat when it gets to 90 and above. Early in the season they say by hitting the lower bark it signals the fig to wake up from its winter slumber.
  12. I get it - it's shorts time for me until we get a sub-freezing high. So it might be a very long time. Go Mavs!
  13. CC! first ever winter storm warning in May issued by NWS Reno
  14. Today
  15. Mainly sunny? I thought you lived in Connecticut?
  16. 62 at my stations for the high.
  17. You can really see the easterly flowing kicking in now. Low level clouds streaming west on the eastern horizon and my temperature crashed into the upper 50s right at sunset.
  18. It was a beautiful afternoon. I took it off and went for a bike ride on the LVRT. Hardwick to Wolcott and back. Finished with tacos in Hardwick when I was done.
  19. My high today only 63, now 52.
  20. I am actually tired of going pants on Sat and yet another one tomorrow and gfs says again next weekend. There is no spring fling where it is 50 all day on Sat. Lol
  21. I'm camping up on the mountain at DCL. Rain. Lots of it. Should start cabin construction work on Monday...just in time for days of rain. Hope the perc comes through.
  22. That's a pretty good signal for below average temperatures through week two.
  23. Very fwiw esp due to a cold bias tendency, but the Euro weekly for 5/13-20 is this:
