  1. Past hour
  2. I know last weekend we did much better with temps running below normal for what they forecast. Earlier this week was about what they predicted so we will see.
  3. This is probably the most deep winter day I’ve had up here so far.
  4. Somewhat, We should be good to go after this weekend.
  5. Looks like the front is through at home.
  6. Here in Watauga temps are in the upper 30s but dew points in the low teens. Highs may end up 2-3 degrees below the original forecast but dew points running almost 10 degrees below the NWS hourly forecast. As an amateur I'm not sure whether I should be happy, or concerned that we'll have a lot of virga when it starts.
  7. Congratulations, such great news. Have you bought him shoes yet?.
  8. Yeah we can fish a lot of ponds this weekend and even have sleds out if we want, you guys must be pretty froze up down there too?
  9. Still might happen. NE MA could be in game between 3-6 PM for some intense squalls
  10. I was musing ( if not diabolically hoping LOL ) that these would rake through at about 4:49 PM, followed by a 15F temp crash muah hahahahaha
  11. When it's 37 and rain, which is most of our winter chances, don't worry, we will be jealous you.
  12. Yeah, it appears to be developing sooner than Forecasted. Could be Virga for some time due to a dry Layer. However, Cloudcover did fill in quicker than expected so precip may very well as well. KMRX should hoist Advisories shortly .
  13. Soundings for Guilford county, just north, and just south. Truly could go either way at this point
  14. You look to be in the best position of almost anybody in the forum to see some decent accumulations before it peters out.
  15. Snow days are made up so if it’s risky, just close. Who cares if the school day is December 5 or June 5?
  16. I hope you need a snow plow to get to the hospital
  17. Here you go Weatherwiz .... we were discussing this squall potential earlier in the week ..well, good call I guess. Them be s-squall warning boxes https://radar.weather.gov/station/kenx/standard
  18. Congratulations!!! I hope that you’re naming him Chuck.
  19. Congrats and good luck! My sister was born during the 2002-2003 winter (or the "one where it snowed a lot" as they call it) and my parents have similar stories. I'll try to be the intern filling in for your absence posting wise!
  20. Congrats! My son was born in the middle of the March 3rd 2014 storm! Born at the house.
  21. Its only December 4th - our break will come soon enough - first chance early next week- for some reason here in north middlesex county nj they are spraying the roads with that liquid brine crap or whatever you call it again - never can be too careful I guess those water temps are causing the lower level to still produce liquid even with the upper levels cold enough for frozen close to the coast
