What I love about this place is despite all of the craziness (and good lord there’s a lot of that lol) we are in large part a community that organically comes together to share our common love of wx. All the blizzards, jaw dropping weather events, and even our love of the perfect sunny day. I'm so sorry for your loss, but as you can see here, he left quite a legacy. May he rest in peace with all the interesting wx he could ever want.

July 2025 Obs/Disco ... possible historic month for heat
powderfreak replied to Typhoon Tip's topic in New England
I’m convinced we don’t look at model data anymore as a forum. All we do is aggregate stuff other people look at or find. Or maybe that’s just how everything is now. -
I went to Oneonta 2 days after that and went through the Catskills to get there and there was still a solid 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground near Andes.

With the House in recess for the next 6 weeks, maybe not so much hot air in DC for a while. OK, OK, I know - no politics.
-
Low of 66.6 at 6:30am, went into work with the windows down in the car. Gonna need to be in the "airlock" mode for the next week though. Edit: first 60's since 7/5 when it was 67.

Just some light rain, mainly this morning, so far today. Only about 1/10” today so far. Showers were moving in a somewhat unusual WSW direction from offshore.

not to often you get 3 beautiful comfortable days in a row in mid to late july in nyc..a break that was much needed.. -
He spoke highly of you every time he mentioned you. He seemed very proud of you!

It's looking like 1.5-2" of rain so far today. We'll see how the rest of the day fairs. Solid top 10 wet July for sure with rain totals in that range today. Maybe even top 5 at the end of the month.

high heat index, perhaps the hottest of the year for any area that's 107-109 right now

Drinking this Dragon's Milk Stout probably also contributes to my lack of complaining.
