  1. Past hour
  2. Roads quickly covered again when it started back up as light snow. Dont know how thats gonna go later tonight and tomorrow morning when the temps drop, could be dicey underneath the new layer.
  3. Good or bad runs, it doesn’t matter with this upcoming storm - the gfs can’t be valued in any depiction. It’s as useful as the hrrr at 48 hrs.
  4. With how abhorrent data collection and retention is for our area, that's a huge red flag.
  5. Snowing good now, radar looks great for this area. Pats moving on.....great night
  6. The good news is, after tonight we will all know exactly when the Euro AIFS starts for future runs.
  7. My only knock on this one, you can taste the alcohol. I mean, at 12% guess it gets kind of hard to mask. But I dont mind it. Flavor is good. This one is 2 years aged in the cellar. When I first had it, it was mega sweet. Rounded out nicely with some aging.
  8. Don’t think the higher amounts are verifying today. Juice is out east
  9. 18z gfs vs 12z euro Ai, look at the difference In confluence strength. .
  10. I had Augusta/Aiken/Columbia flashbacks of destruction watching that run
  11. I mean you are saying the GFS is over doing the cold... However, the GFS, CMC, and Euro are all showing the same thing
  12. I really wish I were already in Pit1 to see what it's doing. With the Box map giving me 1", I find it hard to believe either 1) that hasn't been snow on the radar for the last few hours or 2) that it's not sticking.
  13. We need that SE ridge to flex hard, because it’s up against a very potent polar vortex that reminds me of March 2024 (when every system trended south and crushed DC, while 40N and up were high and dry and very cold).
  14. I'd use caution and patience over the next week and not underestimate the possibility of suppression. Not saying we will get nothing, I think we will get something. Just don't be shocked if the heaviest totals over the next 7-10 days are to the south of this sub forum. Some of the model eye candy is nice but no guarantee of the "big one". Cold is coming, no doubt about that but the snowfall prospects are more uncertain. As they say....Stay Tuned.
  15. Absolutely one of my favs! Though I love the OG best. I’ve been to Alesmith. Got a tour from the owner. Then he said, we’re going to eat lunch now, but help yourself to whatever you want on tap and enjoy. And then I preceded to drive to LA after. Yikes!
