I know, right?!?! Hell, I grew up in northeast Ohio in the '70s and '80s and recall the record bitter cold winter of 1976-77. Temp in Cleveland was below freezing from the last part of December through the first week of February. Dinosaurs froze up on the roads, for those families well off enough to have a dinosaur for transportation. It was an icy walk to school uphill both ways!!

It's always far too cold/snowy in this range. It's a well known bias, and it can be pretty extreme sometimes.

I wish I could pay her. She deals with a lot of shit. Sexist, shitty comments (people calling her board mom when they get moderated) and usually trying to snipe her when they don't do it to male mods. She's a trooper and a good mod who actually cares about this place. I'm sending her a bonus after this winter...a few 7-11 coupon deals and a jelly of the month club membership.

NAM much colder at the surface heading into the event than 18Z. We'll see what that means.
