  1. Past hour
  2. you are the single most disingenuous poster here. You were around 70 for what, an hour or 2 this afternoon? There was nothing nice about today. I hit 68 for an hour or 2, otherwise it hasn’t stopped raining. Up to 1.5” spent some time at an outdoor wedding in your neck of the woods, near the NBill T stop. It was chilly and windy, but not a lot of rain fortunately. After 3 hours of the damp cool air, I was frickin freezing.
  3. 2.50-2.75”…. IIRC it’s 1” additional for each tenth of the inner tube. Hard to see exactly where it crosses the inner tube markings. It has an 11” capacity so it checks out. 1” inner tube then another 1” for each tenth it climbs the outer tube.
  4. If we go two weeks without precipitation then the droughtnista's will come out of the woodwork again talking about the reservoirs dropping.
  5. Interesting about the wind observations. It's nearly dead calm where I'm at, and I'm at a restaurant out in the open suburbs south of Tamaqua.
  6. I’m sitting at 11.45” for the month, hoping I can reach 12”. Another round of showers is moving in but don’t think it will be enough to produce another .50”.
  7. Happy Birthday @George BM
  8. Additional 0.18” of rainfall to bring the month to a grand total of 10.26” We are now officially near normal along the western shore here in the Lowlands. A far cry to start the month, but a strong precip pattern brought us 4 days of 1+” of precip and 2 events of over 2”. Everything is lush green around here now and the garden is flourishing. Summer will give a little sneak peek later this week. Enjoy the tranquility while you can. Cheers! Currently 64/47. Beautiful
  9. We're even getting hazy skies way down here from the smoke.
  10. Looking ahead: CIPS is suggesting some severe threat starting up by the 156hr timeframe and extending into the longer range as well. There's an especially strong signal for 168hr long range panel from the 0z images.
  11. May 2025 was an up and down month at DCA, with May 1-19 recording a relatively warm 69.7 degrees, but May 20-31 recording a decidedly cool 62.7 degrees. The net result was an average May 2025 temperature of 67.0 degrees, which was 0.2 below the 1991-2020 normal and only the 46th warmest in DC history. That resulted in a January-May 2025 DCA temperature of 51.7 degrees, well behind last year's first five months (53.2) and even further behind the record high first five months established in 2012 (54.4). The bigger story of May 2025 at DCA was the drought-busting precipitation of 7.73 inches, 9th highest May total in DC history and the highest monthly total at DCA since August 2021 (9.07).
  12. @powderfreak has experience. What’s the estimate on this?
  13. 4.76" for the day. 12.86 for the month. We need a good 2 week dry streak
  14. Haven’t seen the water out back like this in awhile. Complete river. Stratus looks like 2-2.5” but hard to tell until I measure and add the samples.
  15. Mostly dry day here, everything's dried out from the earlier sprinkles/light showers
  16. Pool is open and ready for warmer temps!
  17. Dew points in the low 40s as June comes in is the good life
  18. We got this cold in June just 2 years ago, right around the summer solstice.
  19. 3 rounds of rain this afternoon. 0.35”
