  1. Past hour
  2. Ya missed one 25 miles to the north and 25 miles to the south. Brutal
  3. Jiminy's program is part of Stride and we also have a program at Catamount which probably is about an hour from Sundown. I can show them the pics you posted and see if we could offer a similar setup if you want? Unless you already looked into it? LMK.
  4. I do have a non scientific hunch that this will be one of those “nickel and dime” years. We may even get normal snowfall but split up into small amounts. I hope I’m wrong
  5. Actually, it's more common than it might appear. Since 1884-85, Washington, DC recorded an earlier first measurable snowfall in 52 (36.6%) cases than New York City. The most recent such case occurred during Winter 2023-2024. Since 2000, Washington saw an earlier first measurable snowfall in the following seasons: 2003-2004 2005-2006 2009-2010 2010-2011 2023-2024 2025-2026
  6. Now WHAT would make you think other-wise??
  7. Just measured 2” in Burke. Not a bad way to start a season. December 5 kicking things off in the right way!
  8. Sun poking through w light snow in Potomac
  9. Yeah I don't think we're gonna have anything to track for awhile. Unfortunately for us this was probably the best chance at least until later. Man I don't care who criticizes...I got every right to complain after 10 years of snow mediocrity with snow stopping right at my doorstep while the southern half of the forum (which appears to have the most posters?) cashes in. It's ridiculous.
  10. A band is moving north toward this area and let see what that can do.
  11. Can you call it a bust even when you didn't expect anything? Asking for a friend.
  12. Long range right now looks dry but chilly.
  13. I hope both of our times come eventually... (Did get about a coating here though)
  14. Good banding still at DCA. Good chance of 2 inches if measured correctly.
  15. No, I just looked it up. That was a 2-day event. The highest calendar day tally was 11.3" on the 23rd, but the 2-day total was 17.8 inches. 5,830 days ago (adding in today) was December 19, 2009, when an astounding 15.0" fell at DC in a single calendar day.
  16. Still snowing along Little River Tpk. Lovely event.
  17. Final total 3". Wintry scene out there. Skunk ratter off the table.
  18. Beautiful big slow falling flakes. I’m sure it’s adding to the total but think I’ve botched the measuring. Just enjoying it.
  19. mid range gfs is really pure zzzzs for the entire CONUS, nothing but the occasional minor league duster racing across the midwest for better or worse, nw flow pattern looks stuck af
  20. Thank you! So glad you found something that works for you!!
  21. Ruggie was like that, always "seeing something the models aren't picking up on".
  22. Still snowing, up to 2 inches, pretty good modeling. I am more than happy with the outcome. Nice to get on the board this early. The Red Taggers killed it in here, thanks for sharing your professional thoughts.
  23. one last band trying to move E/NE from Loudoun County, if it holds together could give much of Central/Southern MoCo a bit more accumulation in the next hour or so.
  24. Same! Which is a fun bonus as I expected nothing at all
